Ballet is a structured and graceful form of dance. Dancers will focus on posture, turnout, technique and musical expression. Ballet is also the foundation for many other dance styles because it develops balance, coordination, flexibility, and body control. Dancers may use the barre, centre work or across the room class formats weekly. In the end, we prepare an elegant piece of choreography for our year end show.
Jazz focuses on fundamentals - flexibility, technique and style. Dancers learn performance skills and how to be dynamic with their dancing! Classes include a warm-up (with some focus on flexibility), progressions down the floor and up-beat choreography to different styles of music!
In tap, dancers will work on rhythm and creating music with their feet! Tap dance teaches coordination, balance and musicality. Dancers will learn proper terminology, style and tap technique.
